Cave Country RV Campground Review: Full Hookups, Pull-Through Sites, and Pet-Friendly Hospitality

During our travels through Kentucky, we had the chance to stay at Cave Country RV Campground. With convenient RV sites, welcoming staff, plenty of amenities, and a location near some of the area’s best-known caves, it proved to be a comfortable home base for exploring Kentucky’s Cave Country.

Easy Full-Hookup, Pull-Through Sites

One of the campground’s biggest advantages is that every RV site is both full hookup and pull-through. Having electric, water, and sewer connections at the site made our stay much more convenient, while the pull-through layout made arriving and departing easier with our larger camper.

There is one important detail future guests should know: the utility pedestal is positioned near the middle of the site. Depending on where your RV’s connections are located, you may need extra electrical cord, freshwater hose, or sewer hose. Bringing additional length can save you from having to reposition your camper after getting settled.

A Great Location for Exploring Cave Country

Cave Country RV Campground is conveniently located near Mammoth Cave National Park and several other cave attractions throughout the region.

That makes it a great place to stay for travelers who plan to spend their days sightseeing, touring caves, hiking, or exploring the surrounding area. After a busy day of adventures, it was nice to return to a full-hookup site and relax at the campground.

Walking Paths and a Pet-Friendly Atmosphere

We especially appreciated how pet-friendly the campground felt. When traveling with Boomer, having safe and convenient places to walk is always important.

The campground’s walking paths provided a pleasant place to stretch our legs, enjoy the outdoors, and give Boomer some exercise without having to leave the property. Guests traveling with dogs should take some time to explore the paths during their stay.

Swimming Pool and Indoor Activities

The swimming pool is another highlight of the campground. It offers guests a nice place to cool off, relax, and spend time between area activities.

There are also several options for indoor entertainment, including a pool table, board games, and a couple of exercise machines. These amenities are especially useful during the evenings or when the weather makes outdoor activities less appealing.

Friendly and Welcoming Staff

The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Good customer service can have a major impact on a campground stay, and the team helped create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

From the convenient sites to the pet-friendly environment, the campground made it easy for us to settle in and enjoy our time in the area.

A Reason to Return

Unfortunately, we lost most of the photos we took during this visit. While that was disappointing, it gives us another good reason to return.

We are looking forward to visiting Cave Country RV Campground again, exploring more of the nearby attractions, and capturing plenty of new photos to share from our next stay.

Our Final Thoughts

Cave Country RV Campground offers many of the features RV travelers appreciate: full-hookup pull-through sites, walking paths, a swimming pool, indoor activities, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere for guests traveling with pets.

Its location near Mammoth Cave National Park and other cave attractions makes it an excellent home base for exploring the region. Just remember to bring extra cords and hoses because of the placement of the utility connections.

We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return to make more memories—and hopefully come home with a full collection of photos next time.
