Established in 1827, Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church served as an important place of worship and community gathering for the families who lived in the valley. The current white wooden church building was constructed in 1887 and still features its original handmade benches, simple pulpit, and traditional design. Surrounded by peaceful mountain scenery and a historic cemetery, the church offers visitors a meaningful glimpse into the faith and daily lives of Cades Cove’s early residents.
